Hi! I am Shahabaj Mundaganur. I have completed my Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from India. Now, I have conferred a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York.

While growing up, I have always been fascinated with electronic systems. My Master’s allowed me to understand the brain that governs these electronic systems known as semiconductor chips. Here at the university, I learned about the underlying physics behind the functioning of these chips, various semiconductor chip fabrication techniques, and their applications in modern electronics.

I assisted the Electrical Department with undergraduate courses as a student assistant and worked as a Graduate Ambassador for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at UB. I also received first-hand experience in the semiconductor chip manufacturing industry at Applied Materials as a Process Integration Engineer Intern. These experiences provided me with the opportunity to learn and grow professionally.

I have decided to pursue a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at UB under the guidance of Dr. Jonathan Bird. I will be working on developing next-generation solid-state devices. I am looking forward to upcoming amazing opportunities and challenges to undertake.
